Our goal this season is to produce theatre that communicates themes of social justice.  After reading 12 Angry Men and The Diary of Anne Frank with 7th grade last year, it was clear that students found these themes relevant and worthy of further exploration; connecting issues of racism, duty, anti-semitism, justice and judgment to today.  The musical Hairspray reveals similar themes of equality regarding race, class, and physical appearance and further champions the idea of standing up for what you believe. These important messages serve to inform our students about how inclusion and perspective can improve our world.  See you at the theatre!
